AboutHello and welcome! I am Christina Danaee and I am mostly always knitting. I live on a mountain in Western North Carolina where I spend my time hiking, sailing and swimming. But mostly, just knitting.

I have been designing knitwear since 2011. I believe knitwear should be fun, functional, comfortable and contemporary. I also think knitwear should be knit and worn year-round! My design focus is on creating knits that will become wardrobe staples, that slip seamlessly into everyday wear but still reflect the fun and unique qualities distinctive of a hand knit item.

I think that regional and small fiber farms, mills and dye operations are so important to our landscape and economy. I try to focus on small farms, family farms, local mills and local dyers as a source of inspiration in my knitwear design.
Together with my friend Jennifer Sadler we are creating a collection of knits designed with yarn grown, spun or dyed in the Appalachian area of the country. Read more about that project at Appalachian Knits.
